The First Week of School
Something fishy's going around.  Behold 2014-2015 in Miss Leonard's class! Our classroom theme is Under the Sea.  I feel like I'm in an aquarium with fake fish when I'm in here!  In all seriousness, I love it!  We have a "Catch of the Week" which was "commence" last week.  This week it is "articulate".  We can either say the word in a sentence for two points or Miss Leonard says it, and the first person to raise their hand gets a point for their team....
Teams! What a wonderful thing! Every month Miss Leonard puts us in teams.  We usually have 4 teams of 4 or 5 kids.  Then, we get to name our teams.  Totally awesome!  This month we have The Clown Fish, The Mussels, Fire Coral, and The Sting Raes.
We also have some new recruits this year--the new grade 5s.  We are training them to become good students for Miss Leonard's awesome class!
