Backwards Day!! (A variation of casual day in grade 5/6)

Today was hot lunch and casual day.  We like to spice up casual day in our classroom, so we decided yesterday that we would wear casual clothes....backwards!! What a lot of fun! Here we are on Backwards Day!

Ava, Charity, and Tori from the back....or is it the front?

A wave from Josiah--Hello? or Goodbye?

Faith even has her hair upside-down and backwards! Joseph has his seat backwards!

A ninja?....no it's Jack with a backwards hoodie under his coat.

Emily and Joey--I had to say "frown" to get them to smile since it is backwards day....

Here is Michael and Bethany.  She had 8 articles of clothing on backwards!! Wow!

Gabe with eyes in the back of his head!

January Student of the Month--Carrie

Carrie is a very, very sweet young lady.  She is thoughtful of others and is always kind and caring.  Carrie is friendly and shows Christian love to everyone.  In her work, Carrie works hard and tries her best.  She is always respectful and obedient.  I really appreciate Carrie and love having her in my class!! Thank you, Carrie!

Electrons on the move!

Today we learned more about atoms, electrons, and electricity...Static Electricity to be exact.  We bent water, picked up paper, and made Abigail look like a moose--all with a balloon! When we got finished, everyone's hair was messy and there were balloons hanging all over the walls, but we had a great time!

Pen Licenses Awarded!

Right before break, we had three girls earn their pen license.  There is a lot of hard work involved in earning this license including a handwriting test of some length which they must pass.
To be awarded a pen license means they have proven to have exemplary penmanship and consistency! They have earned the privilege to write anything with pen in our Grade 5/6 class.

Bethany and Charity

Anais

Congratulations, Ladies!!
